What is Gravity Fitness?
The Gravity System utilizes the GTS machine, a gravity-training device that encourages functional exercise by using an individual's bodyweight as resistance. The GTS utilizes a cable and pulley system, a free-motion glideboard and is adjustable to nine different levels of resistance. The Gravity System targets a multitude of health and fitness goals, from muscular hypertrophy, toning and weight loss to joint and muscular rehabilitation and improvement of athletic performance.
The GTS allows you to vary the angle in which you work against gravity. In doing so, the GTS allows you to modify the resistance required for each exercise. This force, angular resistance, can be calculated as a set amount of force or as a percentage of the individual's body weight.
Individuals join gyms for three main reasons: to lose weight, to increase strength and to look better. Obtaining those results can be daunting, even overwhelming for the average person. Although it is well-known that resistance or strength training must be a part of any balanced workout program, many people find it difficult to incorporate into their schedule. In addition, many people may not have the time, the experience or the patience to learn the proper technique that ensures results.
Many training systems have come and gone and no one has been able to design a single apparatus to provide a full body workout. The GTS system has finally provided the opportunity for group strength training offering the same benefits one receives from spending hours in the weight room. With the GTS equipment and group program format, customized group programming can be achieved with proven results. It is time-efficient, effective and scientifically sound. In a fun and comfortable setting, where people of all levels will see and feel the results they desire.
