David Bertone, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Bertone is a 1988 graduate of New York University's Physical Therapy program. He became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2005. Received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions in 2010. This program also consisted of an Executive Program in Private Practice Management which he successfully completed. Dr. Bertone has focused on Orthopedic Physical Therapy for the majority of his career. He is the current President of the New Jersey Society of Independent Physical Therapists where he advocates for and protects the independent practice of physical therapy in New Jersey. Dr. Bertone enjoys spending time with his family, is committed to a healthy lifestyle by exercising on a regular basis, is an avid golfer and is a passionate rider of his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Dr. Bertone has practiced in numerous settings over the course of his career but has decided to focus on delivering care in this unique solo practice setting to ensure optimal recovery for his patients. He is also committed to lifelong learning by attending numerous continuing education programs and is in constant dialogue with his professional colleagues. Lastly, he is guided in his patient care by the science behind rehabilitation strategies. This Evidence Based Practice Approach utilizes the latest research to prove the effectiveness of the care delivered so that the patient is actually benefitting from the treatment and ultimately saving money for themselves and the health care system.
Christina Scullari, Administrative Assistant
Christina graduated magna cum laude from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She has her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Prior to receiving her degree Christina also extensively studied visual arts and communication.
Christina is responsible for handling all administrative duties in the office including daily interactions with insurance companies and cultivating relationships with new and existing patients. She also works closely with the GRAVITY program run in the facility and assists in coordination and scheduling.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time with friends and family and maintaining an active lifestyle.
